Blocky saysZK rollups prove batches valid with cryptographic proofs — instant finality, no challenge wait.
Zero-Knowledge rollups (zkSync, StarkNet, Polygon zkEVM) post a validity proof (a SNARK/STARK) with each batch that mathematically proves every transaction was valid. The L1 verifies the proof cheaply; no fraud window is needed, so withdrawals are fast. They're more complex to build (especially zkEVMs) but offer stronger, proof-based security than the optimistic model.
Power-ups you unlock
Validity proof per batch (SNARK/STARK)
L1 verifies the proof, no fraud window
Fast withdrawals, strong security
Complex to build (zkEVM is hard)
Double-Spend Dan attacks — common mistakes
Confusing ZK rollups with privacy by default
Assuming proofs are trivial to generate
Treating optimistic and ZK security as identical
Boss battleContrast the trust model of optimistic vs ZK rollups.

ZK: prove valid now (validity proof) → fast finality</pre></body></html>
