page titles · what the tab says

Tagg the BuilderVSThe Unclosed Tag
Tagg the Builder saysThe <title> in the head sets the tab name, the bookmark label, and a big part of how search results read.

<title> lives in the head and never shows on the page itself — it shows in the browser tab, in bookmarks, in history, and as the clickable headline in search results.

Write titles that make sense out of context: put the specific page first, the site name second, e.g. Pricing — 7SLF. Keep them under ~60 characters so search engines don't truncate the end.
