the cell · function vs organism

OMNIVSThe Silent Failure
OMNI saysThe atom of the system is the cell: one small function that does exactly one thing.

A cell is a single-purpose function — small enough to read, test, and reason about in isolation. Cells compose into organs (coherent modules). The discipline forbids a cell from doing two jobs or reaching across layers. If a function maps to no single verb (§5) or touches multiple layers, it's miscategorized and must be split. Cells are the unit you reason about.
