hormone modulation · adjusting thresholds

OMNIVSThe Silent Failure
OMNI saysHormone modulation adjusts thresholds dynamically — the REGULATE mechanism in action.

How modulation actually works: the emotions layer reads system signals, updates the four hormone levels, and REGULATE applies them to thresholds and cadences across cells. Rising cortisol tightens gates; rising adrenaline shortens loop intervals; oxytocin grants cross-fleet bonuses. Per R6 it only tunes how, never what. This dynamic adjustment is what makes a molecular system homeostatic — responsive to load and risk without manual tuning.
