OMNI saysDetect and rollback: find the bad block, then ROLLBACK to a prior known-good one.
§1d's recovery story: because every version is a linked block, you can detect a bad state by walking the chain (mismatched hashes, a failed metaSurf signature, a known-bad delta) and then ROLLBACK the instance to the last known-good block. History isn't erased — the bad block remains in the record for forensics — but the live instance re-points to a trusted earlier state. This is why "latest vs most-recent" can be domain-dependent: the chain lets you choose.
Power-ups you unlock
Walk the chain to detect a bad block
ROLLBACK to the last known-good
History preserved for forensics
Latest vs most-recent is a choice the chain enables
The Silent Failure attacks — common mistakes
Erasing the bad block instead of rolling back
No detection step (silent bad state persists)
Assuming "latest" is always "good"
Boss battleDescribe detecting a bad block and rolling back without losing history.

<!doctype html><html><head><meta charset="utf-8"></head>
<body style="background:#06040d;color:#b388ff;font-family:monospace;padding:20px"><pre>walk chain → block n: meta_sig fail (bad)
ROLLBACK → instance points to block n-1 (good)
block n stays for forensics</pre></body></html>
