bridge hacks · why bridges are honeypots

BlockyVSDouble-Spend Dan
Blocky saysBridges are honeypots — they’ve suffered some of crypto’s largest hacks.

Because a bridge custodies the pooled value of everything crossing it, a single bug or key compromise can drain enormous sums — Ronin (~$625M), Wormhole (~$320M), and others. The attack surface (validators, multisigs, contract logic, message verification) is large and high-value. Lesson: minimize bridging, prefer well-audited canonical bridges, and never assume a bridge is as safe as the chains it connects.
